Homework:
*Parents,
Homework should not take over 30 minutes a night.  Homework is not given to frustrate your child or you as a parent.  If your child is getting frustrated, their mindset for reading/school will not be positive.
Reading with your child should take 20 minutes. This is a time for your child and you to enjoy reading together. My goal is to help your child become a life-long reader!!! If you see your child or yourself getting frustrated, please stop and allow time for a break.  Your child works extremely hard all day.  Homework is sent home to build their love of reading and a brief review of their daily lessons. Please do not spend over 30 minutes a night on homework. Thanks, L. Bailey
