Parents and  Students,

On Monday, we will have a special assembly at 10:00.  On Thursday, our students will attend the Health Fair from 9:30-10:00.  Our students will be very busy this last 9-weeks of school.  Please encourage your student to check his/her email account when school is missed, even if it is for a school event. I will post missed classwork there. Class goes on even if your child is at  Beta or Band or Archery, etc.

We are continuing with our novel, Esperanza Rising.

I hope to have our last Extra-Credit assignment by next week!  Our last 9-weeks is here!

Week of March 25-29, 2019
Assignments
Our IXL lessons will be D.1-D.4, 8th grade level.  We are looking at different literary techniques to understand text such as compare and contrast, cause and effect, and problem and solution. Assignments may be worked on at home.
In Reading we are continuing with our realistic fiction novel.
In  Writing we will complete written responses based on questions from the novel.  Answers will be recorded in Google Classroom.  If you have internet access at home, ask your student to show you the work we can do in Google.
 Assessments

Daily grades will be given in IXL on the lessons mentioned above.
Our test grade will be a computer based comprehension grade taken in class on Friday.
