Union Public School District is now accepting bids for items abandoned in a structure on land owned by the district. Please carefully read all available information before submitting a bid form.
Employees of Union Public School District, their immediate family members, and their spouses' immediate family members are legally unable to submit bids.
All items are purchased as is; UPSD makes no warranties regarding the condition or soundness of such items. All sales are final.
Winning bidders must submit payment in the form of cash or a check for any winning bid(s) to UPSD Central Office within five business days of notification. Items not paid for within this timeframe will be offered to the next highest bidder.
The winning bidders must remove any items won from the abandoned structure during predetermined times: Thursday, February 17, 4:00 to 6:00 pm or Saturday, February 19, 9:00 to 11:00 am.
UPSD is not liable for any injury incurred during the process of removing items from the structure.
In the event of tying bids, advantage will go to the bid requesting the greater quantity of items. If that is also a tie, advantage will go to the bid received first.
Return completed bid forms to UPSD Central Office at 417 S. Decatur St., Union, MS 39365 no later than Friday, February 4 at 10:00 am. Bids must be in a sealed envelope marked clearly with “Bid #367.”

Quantity: 1 (there are 7 windows total, but they are being sold as one lot)
Description: These vintage wooden windows are still installed in their frames. The winning bidder must remove the windows and may also remove the wooden frames. The winning bidder will also have access to the remainder of the building to retrieve door frames, shelving, or other items of interest, excluding items listed for bid.
Due to the time consuming nature of retrieving these windows, the winning bidder will arrange with UPSD a time to access the building and remove their items.
